Queensland Eye Hospital joins Australia’s largest Day Hospital Group

The Cura Day Hospitals Group is pleased to advise its Shareholders that it completed the purchase of Queensland Eye Hospital on Friday 21 December 2012.

Dr Keith Zabell, Cura’s Chairman said, “Queensland Eye Hospital is an excellent specialist facility located in the centre of Brisbane. The Hospital provides a range of ophthalmic procedures incorporating the latest in surgical techniques.”

Mr Peter Freeleagus, Cura’s CEO added, “The facility provides services and care for adult and paediatric patients. It features four operating theatres, a 12 bed first-stage recovery unit and a 22 recliner chair second-stage recovery unit.”

“The hospital has worked hard to earn its reputation for excellence and the Doctors, nursing and administration staff are committed to ensuring its continued success. I am delighted to welcome the Doctors and staff to the Cura Group.”

The Cura Day Hospitals Group comprises nine facilities across Australia and has four hospitals in Queensland. Queensland Eye Hospital is the largest single-discipline hospital in the Group.
