Cura Day Hospitals Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Edwards as the new CEO/ Director of Nursing at Liverpool Eye Surgery, starting on Monday 21st August.

Nicholas has broad clinical hands on experience, having worked originally as a clinician, right through to Director of Nursing and General Manager roles.

Cura Day Hospitals Group CEO Peter Freeleagus said he was delighted that Nicholas would be joining the Cura Group, which encompasses 19 facilities nationally.

“Nicholas brings a rich and varied background to this role, coupled with a commitment to organisational excellence and a thorough understanding of the private hospital sector,” Mr Freeleagus said.

“I am confident that Nicholas’ leadership experience and qualifications will see him well positioned to make an exceptional contribution to Liverpool Eye Surgery as CEO/ Director of Nursing.”

Nicholas holds a Graduate Cetificate in Intensive Care, Master of Nursing, Master of Applied Health Management and is currently completing his Master of Public Health. He has also lectured to students at the University of Sydney in Human Biology, Nutrition, and Haemodynamics, Fluid Replacement & Inotropes.

Prior to joining Cura, Nicholas was the National Development and Quality Manager for Pulse Health where he was a key figure in the building and fit-out of greenfield hospital developments, managing the roll out of major projects, and responsible for overseeing the licencing and accreditation of 13 hospitals within the Pulse Health Group.

He also previously held the position of General Manager/ Director of Nursing at East Sydney Private Hospital.
