Cura Ophthalmology Specialists are Brisbane based consulting suites, home to a team of highly skilled, industry leading specialists dedicated to providing high quality care. We are the new and first ever paediatric ophthalmology hub for Brisbane and Queensland. We offer a range of comprehensive ophthalmic and surgical services for both adult and paediatric patients.

The suites are equipped with the latest modern technology and state of the art diagnostic equipment such as Optical Coherence Tomography and Optos Wide Field Imaging operated by our highly trained ophthalmic technicians, giving our ophthalmologists access to the best resources. This, combined with specialist expertise and clinical excellence, our clinicians are able to diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of eye conditions.

Our practice covers a wide range of ophthalmic disciplines, including paediatric ophthalmology, cataract assessment and surgery, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vitreoretinal disease and surgery, diseases of the cornea and anterior segment and oculoplastics.

There are 8 ophthalmologists and ophthalmic surgeons currently practicing from Ophthalmology Specialists. Each of these eye doctors have achieved sub specialisation within a specific area of ophthalmology, allowing Ophthalmology Specialists to provide patients with a range of ophthalmology treatments.

We work closely with our fellow Cura group hospital, Queensland Eye Hospital, located conveniently next door to Ophthalmology Specialists, where the majority of our paediatric surgical admissions take place. They are currently the only hospital in Queensland licensed to operate on children from 6 weeks of age. They have dedicated paediatric waiting and recovery rooms and highly trained paediatric anesthetics and nursing team.
