The Eye Hospital has 2 operating theatres and a procedure room utilizing the latest state-of-the-art equipment together with a fully equipped first and second stage recovery unit. Theatre facilities for dental procedures requiring general anaesthesia are also performed in the safe and controlled environment of our day hospital.
We are looking for a confident, decisive, experienced full-time Administration Manager.
The successful applicant will be required to lead and manage a small team of Administration staff and ensure administrative functions run efficiently. In addition, your customer service skills will be exceptional.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
- Experience in leading and managing a team essential
- Previous experience working in a hospital and/or health care setting preferrable.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills
- Recent experience in Bookkeeping and proficient in MYOB accounting software
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite and sound knowledge of IT systems
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- The ability to take initiative, work independently and efficiently
- Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional front line customer service skills with a patient focus
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality within the healthcare environment
Key duties include:
- Generate and implement the administration staff roster
- Co-ordinate and delegate daily administrative tasks to ensure completion of tasks within required timelines
- Preparation of payroll and completion of monthly financial tasks including end of month reconciliations, entering and paying creditors, preparing BAS, preparing and paying payroll tax and superannuation contributions
- Generate and report data from the patient management system.
- Maintain and update administrative workflow methods
- Co-ordination of VMO applications and ensure all applicants' Registrations and Insurances are up to date
- Maintain office Quality Management System
- Assist CEO /DoN and Finance Manager with Quality Management System tasks
- Organise and attend meetings
- Maintain office filing systems and ensure confidentiality of medical records
