About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Claims Team Manager to join our group in this newly created position based in Spring Hill, Brisbane. Reporting to the National Revenue Manager, you will responsible for the overall management of the end to end claims process.
The duties of this position will include:
- Manage claims staff to ensure claims are invoiced timely and accurately and assist where required
- Ensure compliance with PHI and public contracts and agreements
- Assist with internal and external claims audits as required
- Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal legislation
- Develop documented standard billing and debtors’ processes and update as required
- Provide training to all claims and Administration staff and provide ongoing education on contract and compliance and changes
- Provide education on PHI legislative requirements including but not limited to MBS changes and National Procedure Banding Committee updates
- Manage the recruitment and retention of claims staff
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years claims management experience
- Experience with health fund, public and compensable contracts
- Knowledge of the private health fund billing and claiming process
- Knowledge of hospital management systems and IT software
- Appropriate knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Proven numerical problem-solving skills
- Strong communications skills; written and verbal
- Demonstrated organisational ability to work within deadlines
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to work well in a team and autonomously
