Somerset Private Hospital, specialising in day surgery procedures in Sydney’s western suburbs is set to open in mid-2021. The hospital which will also provide overnight facilities, will be furnished with the latest technology and equipment to provide specialty services to both adult and paediatric patients. Specialties will include Ophthalmology, Plastics & Reconstructive surgery, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, ENT and Oral & Maxillofacial.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Quality, Risk and Education Manager who will assist in the commissioning of the new facility and will oversee the efficient running of Quality, Risk and Education initiatives. This role will work closely with the team to promote the best patient outcomes.

 Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Experience in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of organisational quality and risk frameworks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Risk and Quality Management principles and practices, relevant legislation, Australian Standards and certification processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
  • Certificate in workplace assessment and training or relevant experiences as a Clinical Nurse Educator and working towards Cert IV
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • National Criminal Record Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate Qualification in Risk Management or similar.
  • Gold Standard Hand Hygiene auditor
  • Previous experience in a similar role
