Cura Day Hospitals Group acquires Ballarat Day Procedure Centre

The Cura Day Hospitals Group today announced its acquisition of another Victorian hospital, Ballarat Day Procedure Centre.

This multidisciplinary facility provides a wide range of specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, ENT, plastic surgery, IVF (onsite laboratory), Oral & Dental and Endoscopy (Open Access). Oncology patients are also cared for in the separate specially designed oncology unit.

Ballarat Day Procedure Centre is a considerable addition to the Cura Day Hospitals Group portfolio, according to the Group’s CEO Peter Freeleagus.

“This acquisition enhances Cura’s range of specialties and is the first hospital in the Group to provide Oncology services,”

said Mr Freeleagus.

Located approximately 120km west of Melbourne and covering a wide geographical catchment area, Ballarat Day Procedure Centre recorded more than 10,000 patient admissions over the last twelve months.
