Cura Day Hospitals Group Welcomes New CEO/DoN to The Eye Hospital

Cura Day Hospitals Group is pleased to announce that Ben Roberts has been appointed to the role of CEO/Director of Nursing at The Eye Hospital in Launceston effective Monday 1st July.

Mr Roberts has more than 15 years nursing experience encompassing clinical nursing and management roles and joins the group most recently from Hobart Day Surgery where he held the role of Assistant Director of Nursing.

Cura Day Hospitals Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Freeleagus, said he was delighted that Mr Roberts would be joining the Group, now comprising 21 facilities nationally.

“Ben is an experienced health care professional who will bring strategic orientation to the role along with an emphasis on developing organisational capability”, 

said Mr Freeleagus.

“He has exceptional knowledge of ophthalmic day hospital management with an acute focus on quality, infection prevention and control as well as human and physical resources.”

Mr Robert’s background also incorporates health professional education and the development of content for undergraduate and registered health practitioners’ competencies.

He holds several qualifications including a Master of Health Management, Post Graduate Certificates in Clinical Nursing and Emergency Nursing and a Bachelor of Nursing.
