Cura Day Hospitals Group is very pleased to announce that Katrina Drew has been appointed to the role of CEO/Director of Nursing at Sydney Day Surgery – Prince Alfred, effective Monday 3rd June.
Katrina has transferred from Queensland Eye Hospital, where she held the position of PACU Coordinator for the last eight years.
Cura Day Hospitals Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Freeleagus, said he was confident that Ms Drew would make an excellent contribution to the team at Sydney Day Surgery – Prince Alfred.
“In her role at Queensland Eye Hospital, Katrina was responsible for the day-to-day management of PACU including coordination and management of staff, policy review and development and implementation of a facility-wide training programme”, said Mr Freeleagus.
“Katrina has over 25 years’ experience in clinical and management roles and this, coupled with her qualifications and consultative management style, make her well suited to lead the team at Sydney Day Surgery – Prince Alfred.
Katrina has a broad range of clinical nursing experience in a variety of disciplines including oncology, perioperative, cardiac, medical, aged care education and diabetes management.
She completed her training as a registered nurse at the Royal Brisbane Hospital school of nursing and also has several supplementary qualifications including a Diploma of Business and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
