About Sunshine Coast Day Surgery
Welcome to the Sunshine Coast Day Surgery. We understand that choosing a hospital is an important decision for your health and well-being. We appreciate that you have chosen to have your treatment here. The staff and visiting specialists are highly skilled professionals, who work in an environment of teamwork and respect. We aim to provide a service which exceeds the expectations of the community and is responsive to the individual needs of patients.
History
The Sunshine Coast Day Surgery was officially opened on 22 August 1992 by the Honourable Llewellyn Edwards AC. At that time there were only two other day hospitals in Queensland. It was truly a milestone for healthcare on the Sunshine Coast.

You can be confident the care provided to you reflects our Mission – ‘Excellence in Day Surgery’. The Sunshine Coast Day Surgery is licenced by Queensland Health as a ‘day only’ private hospital. We comply with the National Standards on Safety and Quality in Health Care and have been assessed by an external auditor under these standards.
