Cura Day Hospitals Group today announced that it has successfully completed the purchase of ACT Endoscopy based in Canberra.
ACT Endoscopy is a purpose built facility featuring 2 procedure rooms, located within the Equinox complex on Kent street, Deakin near John James Hospital.
The facility opened in 2012 to cater to the growing Gastrointestinal needs of the Australian Capital Territory and the surrounding area of New South Wales.
Cura Day Hospitals Group Chief Executive Officer, Peter Freeleagus, said that Cura’s success has always been based on providing high quality day hospitals and services to patients in strategic locations.
“ACT Endoscopy’s commitment to providing the highest standard of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and related services to their patients is a natural complement to Cura’s existing portfolio and values,” said Mr Freeleagus.
“The acquisition of ACT Endoscopy ensures Cura is well positioned to address the growing demand for same-day hospital services in the Canberra community,” he said.
“We extend a very warm welcome to the ACT Endoscopy Doctors and hospital staff joining Cura Group.”
With the addition of ACT Endoscopy, Cura Day Hospitals Group now encompasses 24 facilities nationally, further reinforcing its position as market leader in the private day hospital sector.
