Cura Day Hospitals Group welcomes new CEO/DoN to West Leederville Private Hospital

Cura Day Hospitals Group is pleased to announce that Ms. Sally Cowan has been appointed to the role of CEO/Director of Nursing at West Leederville Private Hospital effective Monday 22nd June 2020.

Ms. Cowan joins Cura Day Hospitals Group most recently from her role as Nursing and Midwifery Director at Mater Health in Queensland where she was responsible for 135 staff. Prior to this she held Director of Nursing positions at several private hospitals in WA and NSW, as well as key positions in both the aged care and public hospital sector.

Announcing the appointment, Cura Day Hospitals Group Chief Executive Officer, Peter Freeleagus, said Ms. Cowan’s expertise encompassed clinical and operational governance as well as strategic planning.

“Ms. Cowan is a consultative leader with excellent communication skills and an in-depth understanding of the opportunities and challenges that exist in the private hospital sector,” he said.

“Her experience and commitment to upholding our organisational values will play an integral role in the continuation of West Leederville Private Hospital’s excellent service and patient care,”

said Mr. Freeleagus.

Sally holds several qualifications including a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Central Queensland and a Graduate Certificate in Health Service Management from Edith Cowan University.
