Wagga Wagga residents will no longer need to travel hours to receive vital IVF treatment, with the service now being offered at Riverina Day Surgery.
CEO/Director of Nursing Megan King said the whole team at Riverina Day Surgery is looking forward to helping change lives.
“We have two extremely skilled doctors who have set up Riverina IVF so there is no doubt in my mind the local community is in the very best hands,” she said.
“We will work closely with Doctor John Esler and Doctor Rachael Knight to help people achieve their dream of starting or expanding their family.”
For the past two years locals have had to travel hours back and forth to either Albury, Canberra or sometimes even Sydney to undergo IVF treatment.
They will now have access to some of the best doctors, nursing team and state of the art technology right here in their hometown, giving patients the best opportunity possible to conceive.
“Being able to offer this is just fantastic for the local community,” Ms King said.
“We are very lucky that in Wagga Wagga there are strong medical services available, and this is just another great addition to that.”
Ms King said her and the staff at Riverina Day Surgery have a great relationship with all people on the IVF team including the scientists and specialists.
“My staff really enjoy helping women through this journey and getting updates on how they are going. It is genuinely a lovely process for us to be a part of.”
