Recently celebrating its 5-year anniversary, West Leederville Private Hospital took this milestone moment to reflect on its growth and achievement over the years and recognise the staff and the patients who have enabled the hospital to become so well respected.
In the 5 years since opening in 2017, West Leederville Private Hospital has assisted 19,680 patients and has become recognised within the medical and broader community of Perth as a centre of excellence in plastic surgery.
CEO and Director of Nursing, Jamie Mann-Farrar, shared that the facility started with 54 members of staff and this month celebrates the 100th staff member joining the team.
“We’re proud of reaching this milestone and celebrating with those that have been with us from the beginning and throughout our 5-year journey. We attribute our high level of staff retention to our supportive and professional work environment that prioritises good quality patient care and work-life balance.
“With our exceptional team that includes only 100% accredited consultant surgeons certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, we proudly provide quality surgical procedures for our community,” explained Mr Mann-Farrar.
Operating in three theatres and with 8 overnight beds, the West Leederville Private Hospital provides a range of surgical procedures with roughly 25% of their case mix being melanoma surgery, 25% cosmetic, 25% is reconstructive surgery, and 25% hand trauma and emergency hand trauma service.
To mark this special occasion, the West Leederville Private Hospital team arranged a number of celebrations with doctors, staff, and former patients including some of their very first patients.
