Cura Day Hospitals Group is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Sir John Monash Private Hospital, located in Clayton Victoria.
Sir John Monash Private Hospital provides a range of procedures including Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, ENT Surgery, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Podiatric Surgery, and General Surgery across two private theatres. Paediatric Dental procedures under GA are also performed in a dedicated Dental Procedure Room.
The facility opened in 1992 and was one of the first standalone day hospitals in Melbourne.
Cura Day Hospitals Group CEO, Andrew Currie, said the new acquisition aligns with Cura’s dedication to provide excellent patient care across Australia in the short stay hospital sector.
“The acquisition of Sir John Monash Private Hospital represents our fifth hospital in Victoria and 27th across the country,” Mr Currie said.
“Backed by an efficient management team, it is well regarded in the local community and has a reputation of clinical and operational excellence thanks to its high level of patient service.
“The acquisition directly aligns with Cura’s commitment to providing quality, safe and well-equipped facilities that focus on both patient and staff well-being.
“We look forward to working with the whole team at Sir John Monash Private Hospital moving forward as they continue to provide quality care for Melbourne residents,” Mr Currie said.
This latest acquisition adds meaningful value to Cura’s existing portfolio and further strengthens the Company’s position as the leading provider of private short stay hospital facilities in Australia.
“Cura remains focused on additional opportunities for growth via acquisition and Greenfield development projects,” Mr Currie said.
